Description
An extremely sharp and smart crop top in a comfort fit, with contrast stripes collar, shirt blouse in a heritage handloom weave of Telia Rumal, in black, fuchsia and hot pink is a show stopper combination to wear to work or for a special occassion. The collar of the blouse is in black and white dobby weave cotton material.
The combination is striking while being an epitome of sustainability. The top/blouse is a great option to mix and match with handloom sarees to work.

About Telia Rumal
 
GI tagged Telia Rumal originated from Prakasam district at Chirala in Andhra Pradesh where the craft started. People who acquired skill in this dying art took the lead to introduce this in Puttapaka village of Nalgonda district in Telangana. Recently Puttapaka Telia Rumal was accorded with Geographical indication (GI) tag.
Telia Rumal is a method for the oil treatment of yarn and its subsequent weaving into intricate geometric patterns. It is an art of Ikat tradition using natural vegetable dyes. Using just three colours: red ranging from crimson to orange red, brown red and maroonish red, white and black the craftsmen create their magic. These rumals were once patronised by Nizams of Hyderabad.
* This product has been woven on a handloom by the weaver and may have slight irregularities that are a natural outcome due to the human involvement in weaving a unique handcrafted product without any electrical power. The colours may fade or bleed due to the traditional dyeing method employed.
