Description
"Garad" means pristine white and the saree has it origins in culturally steeped West Bengal. Often woven with red with intricate designs or sometimes plain, the saree is often worn for special religious occassions.
The saree in off white and red with green meena work is special and unique. The pallu of the saree has Baluchari style intricate meena work motifs in red and green and the border of the saree has a satin finish and pretty handwoven motifs. The body of the saree has jamdani handwoven 'kalka' design running vertically. When draped this saree and its pallu is bound to evoke admiration and appreciation.

Saree has its own plain with border running blouse. An addtional 1 meter of handloom cotton ikat fabric in contrasting red and green (1/2 meter + 1/2 meter) is provided to make a fusion contrasting blouse that will enhance the appeal of the saree.
We also custom make blouses on order.
* This product has been woven on a handloom by the weaver and may have slight irregularities that are a natural outcome due to the human involvement in weaving a unique handcrafted product without any electrical power. The colours may fade or bleed due to the traditional dyeing method employed.
